The Healthy Start/Healthy Families Program

The Healthy Start/Healthy Families Program provides medical coverage for families, pregnant women, infants, and children up to age 19. The State of Ohio and the staff at Muskingum County Job and Family Services believe that in order to become productive, self sufficient adults, we must first have healthy children. Healthy Start/Healthy Families helps insure families, pregnant women and children who may not otherwise have access to medical coverage. Some of the covered services are complete pregnancy before and after care, newborn and infant care including well baby, doctor visits, immunizations, prescriptions, vision care, dental care, and hospitalization. If you have a child or know of a pregnant woman or child who is in need of medical care, please inquire about this worthwhile program. If you wish to apply for benefits you may complete an ONLINE APPLICATION.  This application is good for Medicaid, Ohio Works First, and the Food Assistance Program.  Once you have completed filling out the application; follow the instructions to submit the application and it will be sent electronically to our office for processing.
