Paternity Department

The Paternity Department is responsible for the establishment of paternity of children. The department utilizes local, state and federal location techniques for the location of putative absent parents. The department will conduct an interview with the custodial parent for information on the punitive parent. Once paternity has been established, the case is passed on to a Hearing Officer or the Legal Department, depending upon the circumstances of the case for a child support order. The department feels that it is their obligation and commitment to serve the community by striving to provide accurate information and attention to detail in establishment of paternity.
